Like many of us today, there was that one person we epitomized and worked assiduously to stay focus on what we believe in. As a child, we used to believe in fairy tales, only now as adults we are cognizant that fairy tales were only fantasies.
The true meaning of life lies within the opportunities ahead of us; but opportunities on the other hand is “luck waiting to happen”. So in order to gain opportunities set your goals, stay focus and think optimistically.
There are times in life when we get what we didn’t wish for, is it fairy tale or opportunity?
This is a question we often ponder, however true; the latter would be more significant if you are thinking positively. Whatever life throws at you, it is your responsibility to work with it and to make the best of it. Nothing in this world is ever “too downgrading” for one to lift himself up. Let’s face reality, in order to achieve, you have to face hurdles, road blocks, high waves and even terrible consequences. The thing though is that big step: DECISION. Once you have made the decision to achieve, you will to its fullest and when you have completed your race, you can look back and proudly say: “I have been epitomized by many”.

Scrabble for most seems like you are just spelling words for points to outscore your opponent(s). I did just that when I started playing many years ago. A strong vocabulary at face value would seem like the best way to win at this game. If I got a “q” without a “u” I sweated something fierce. The thought of getting stuck with a 10 point “q” in your hand could be the difference between winning and losing a game. Scrabble for those of you who have never played before the board has “double letter score”, “triple letter score”, “double word score” and “triple word score” to boost your score significantly. These premium squares along with mastering two and three letter words are keys to getting a higher score in Scrabble. When I went from just spelling words to using the strategies mentioned below my score and games I won increased significantly.
This reminds me of when I first started in my home business job opportunity I was like a sponge soaking up as much information that I could get my hands on. I was on as many webinar as possible gaining knowledge from many different people. I developed my business like if the more knowledge I learn the better it would be for my home business job opportunity, very similar to the initial way I started to play Scrabble. I only found myself investing in concepts that never got my business off the ground.
An example of this was purchasing leads from different lead sources. I also brought into following the “experts” until I realized that most “experts” were just trying to sell inferior products. I now follow and purchased from people who give me tremendous value in their teachings and products, amazingly most of the knowledge gained is free. I learned from my mistakes and like Scrabble I developed different strategies. I am at a point in Scrabble that I have no problem having a “q” without a “u”. I now maximize the points that I may receive from the tiles I have in my hand at all times.
I reversed what I was doing in my home business job opportunity instead of just blanket marketing I focused on my target market. Like Scrabble, I have gained so much experience after playing several games that I am now an expert at the game. I started using different marketing strategies that allowed me to attract the ideal person who would join my home business job opportunity. My income generating activities are based on a 1 degree adjustment on a daily basis to generate the necessary traffic I need. My long term strategy in Scrabble is to continuously increase my vocabulary and look even harder for the most effective use of my premium tiles. The best way to get even better is to play as often as possible just like in my home business job opportunity.
The keys to making your home business job opportunity successful is continuously and never ending commitment to improving your income generating activities and following the right mentors. The correlation between the strategies of Scrabble and that of a home business are very similar in nature. These strategies may be applied to make you an expert at Scrabble and your home business job opportunity.

The simple act of playing a board game as a child could teach us tremendous concepts about running your home internet business opportunity. One of my favorite game as a child was Chutes and Ladders where your goal was to reach the top of the board. The person who got to the top first was the winner. There were certain pitfalls or rewards that you could receive or be penalized. You could either land on a square that took you closer to your goal as you traveled up the board. The alternative was landing on a square that made you slide down the chutes or further away from your goal. You either moved towards your goal very rapidly or very slowly. The speed that we get closer to our goals in our home internet business opportunity is determined by a number of different factors. The amount of targeted traffic that you generate to your website or blog is critical to your growth.
Google is always watching your website or blog and the activity of your blog or website to rank it appropriately. SEO marketing is a method that is more towards slowly ranking your website while PPC marketing is for getting a more rapidly ranked website or blog. The method that you use is dependent on your preference. Chutes and Ladders can bring you very close to giving up and starting all over when you slide down a chute. The actual throwing of the die determines whether you go up or down. Google can knock you back with a slap and the way you respond determine whether your home internet business opportunity will succeed or not. Pitfalls versus rewards are evenly distributed on the Chutes and Ladders game board, but in real life you might encounter more pitfalls. Rewards might come more few and far between so being persistence is very important in being successful in your home internet business opportunity.
The risk of not continuing for some people outweighs the possible rewards of succeeding in their home internet business opportunity. Real life dictates that sometimes the risk is overwhelming while the reward is few and far between. Chutes and Ladders does teach us about goal setting and achieving our objectives no matter the pitfalls. The other alternative is reaching the top where you neither went up the ladder nor slide down the chute. Does this make your journey less valid?

I was riding with my oldest son the other night from his basketball game and he stated to me that when he get around anyone that he knew in the past somehow he reverts to his old shy self. He was a very shy person when he was younger and he is consciously working on being more of an extrovert. My son is engaging on his person development without being aware of what he is really doing. He made me think about what I have done in the past that I have allowed to define me. I have always worked under the guise of a salaried manager in a retail or restaurant establishment. The desire to step out and become an entrepreneur has always been inside of me but I never allowed it to come to light. The fact that was who you were in the past does not mean that you have to continue to be that same person.
The people who knew me as a salaried manager might have difficulties in viewing my new role as a true entrepreneur. As a salaried manager I knew exactly how much I was getting paid every two weeks. The mentality that I had was being certain and predictable in my actions on a daily basis. As an entrepreneur I have to put myself in a total different role of uncertainty and unpredictability. The only thing that you can predict is that if you don’t do income generating activities on a daily basis you will not succeed.
We must not let people from the past dictate who we become in the future. The fact that they knew my son as that shy person in the past does not mean that he have to present his new improve self with his head down. The lesson that we learn from our kids can send us to reflect on who we are a person. The saying goes from the mouth of babe to the ears of adults. Personal development is truly something that we should continuously work on consciously. We must take heed and listen to our heart and take action. Our thoughts lead to our success only if we act on them. Procrastination is the only major factor that may stop you from moving to the next chapter in your life. The book of life is always changing and it is up to you to be instrumental in implementing these changes. What in your past that is defining and continues to define you?

A 1 degree adjustment for your home internet business opportunity could take your business to the next level. The New Year is here and everyone talks about New Year resolutions. The most infamous one is losing weight by joining a gym. The gyms are filled to the brim during January and February and a ghost town for the rest of the year. The reason for the dismal failure rate of these resolutions may equate to one simple thing, too many life changes too soon.
The success rate for this new exerciser is dismal because the degree changes needed for success is a 180 degree change. You are making a big lifestyle change that requires a very strong commitment. The success rate will explode if everyone involved just tried to make a 1 degree change in what they were doing to achieve weight loss. For example, instead of 7 days a week to begin with starts exercising once per week. When exercising once per week become a habit then add one more day. We may use this same concept to make our home internet business opportunity explode for the New Year.
If we were 10 miles apart and we started walking towards each other, but I was 1 degree off we would never arrive at the same location face to face. It is a whole lot easier for your mind to accept a gradual change as opposed to major shift in your daily income generating activities. For instance instead of posting 2 ads this week increase it to 3 ads and monitor the results. The more you demand of your mind to achieve in short term the tougher it is for the mind to accept. The key to success for 2010 is applying small changes to your home internet business opportunity and not trying to reinvent the wheel.

Social Media as a web marketing strategy is all about building trust and relationships with your potential business partners. Social Media is great vehicle which allows your prospects the opportunity to get to know you on a personal level without any sales pressure. Potential business partners are given the opportunity to observe you without feeling obligated to joining your home internet business opportunity. Youtube have all types of video that may be viewed but amazingly producing a perfect video is not required. The desire of the viewer to connect with you on a personal level far outweighs perfection in the actual video.
As I write this post there are two Social Media sites in the Top 10 on Alexa Facebook (#2) and Youtube (#4). MySpace (#12) and Twitter (#15) have slowly crept out of the Top 10 which warrant the question is Social Media a fad? The vast amount of people using Social Media on a daily basis suggests that it is not a fad. Facebook is a great way to generate leads for your home internet business opportunity. Youtube is a great way to integrate video into your web marketing strategies.
Youtube is a great media where potential business partners have the opportunity to see you as a person. The video should be a natural video where perfection is not necessary. Your partners are looking for an expert that have similar background and is like them to a certain degree. Facebook allows your potential business partners to see you as an individual with the groups you are associated, your profile, friends, etc. Social Media lets them watch you and your actions from afar without having to commit to your home internet business opportunity.
Web marketing strategy using Social Media is very necessary in getting your online business to the next level. When I sold a home care system door to door many years ago the product I sold was great but until my prospect trusted me no sale was ever made. I had a very short time in the sale process to get them to purchase my product. I had one chance and no other opportunity to make the sale. Social Media provide you the opportunity to attract potential business partners over an indefinite amount of time.

The Luminaries on the Discovery Series by Life Path Unlimited discusses The Law of Attraction in depth on the path to Attraction. I gained some insightful and definitive information that have led to a better understanding of this law. Micheal Losier, Author of “Law of Attraction: The Science of Attracting More of What You Want and Less of What You Don’t” states that the key ingredient to the Law of Attraction is matching vibrations. Attracting more of what you want may be achieved by sending out vibes and statements into the universe attesting that fact. Law of Attraction states that if you want positive results, then you must send out positive vibes.
Micheal Losier gives an example of people on a line trying to buy lottery tickets; everyone on line wants to win the lotto. These potential lotto winners are giving attention, energy and focus on the possibility of winning the lotto. The Law of Attraction does not know if the vibes is negative or positive, it just match vibration. Some of these lotto players while on line are thinking about reasons while they will not win. Everyone will not win the lotto visualizing yourself winning will work more in your favor. The action of purchasing the lottery ticket is definitely required to have the opportunity to win the lottery. They are many people who want to win the lottery, but never purchase a ticket.
The Law of Attraction as an entity by itself will never let you achieve success. The Law of Attraction is useless without action because knowledge is not power but the application of knowledge in the right sequence is power. The people who use this law without action are just spinning their wheels. The Law of Attraction is always trying to match your vibes so achieving the proper mindset is a major determining factor in getting this law to work for you.

The main reason why people don’t partner up with you in your home internet business opportunity is trust. Logic opens the mind and emotions close the sale, but no sale occurs without trust. I want you to think of a time when you made a purchase that you felt great about. Now think of one where the pit of your stomach was screaming at you not to do it. What was the underlying factor between these two transactions? Trust is defined as a firm belief in the reliability, truth, or strength of a person or thing. When you first meet someone whether you trust that person is determined immediately or may develop over time. As an internet marketer for your home internet business opportunity you have no real control over instant trust.
Consumers are inundated with many sales propositions on a daily basis. I was speaking to a merchant at a Uniform store the other day and the first thing he stated was “Why should I change my current vendor to save a few pennies when the services provided are great” The fly by night high pressure salesman who come in with his smooth talking and empty promises are becoming extinct. Trust is the determining factor of why people purchased your products or partner up with you in your home internet business opportunity. Personal branding is a great alternative to company branding in growing your home internet business opportunity in the right way.
Your marketing list is one of the most effective ways that you may develop trust over time. The infamous marketing list of many of the top producers in the Internet Marketing Arena is a critical component. A marketing list where great content is provided to the subscriber may be an invaluable resource for a very long time. The subscriber may purchase at any time that they are ready without pressure. The point at which a particular subscriber will trust you more than be skeptical of you is unknown. You must continue to provide powerful and consistent content so you don’t need to know. When you have faith in the process and the outcome will take care of itself.

The Discovery Series by LifePath on the Results CD discusses results and the importance of achieving results. The main reason that people confuse activity with productivity is because of the way they handle their emotions. Impatient and frustration will only delay you in getting the results that you desire. Emotions are the main deterrent to achieving success in your life. Emotions may cause you to respond in a way that you did not expect and inadvertently sabotage your success.
You must manage your thoughts and feelings in a way to generate the results that you want. Your thoughts determine your destiny so uncontrollable emotions will deter your success. For example, your main income generating activity is connecting with potential business partners on the phone, yet you spend the whole day checking your e-mails. Your intense desires to read every single e-mail that when you are notified by the ping immediately.
Procrastination takes over which impacts your productivity and your results are nil temporarily. Whether you let it become a permanent conclusion is up to you. The way you respond to circumstances within and beyond your control is very critical. I myself like things to be a certain way and when it is not my response to the situation vary. My reaction interferes with the goals I was trying to achieve in that time frame. When I shut down emotionally my progress is impacted deeply. Micheal Jordan is one the greatest player to ever play the game of basketball.
Micheal spent his time doing things that would improve different aspects of his game. The average player only practiced when they were required Jordan practiced before and the main practice. If the average player took a 100 free throw Jordan took 200 shots, so he outworked his fellow players. Jordan mastered his emotions and did not let deter his goal to be the best that he could be. He did not stop shooting at the basket even when he missed many shots in a row. He controlled his emotions and kept on taking shots.
When Micheal Jordan was at his peak in the 1990’s he made as much as $80 million a year, while many other players made the NBA minimum of about $200,000. Was Micheal Jordan 300 times better than the player who made the minimum? Micheal knew the difference between activity and achievement and how to use his emotions properly. Emotions are the #1 reason that people confuse activity with productivity. The proper handling of your emotional reaction to different stressful situations will help manifests your goals and desires. John Assaraf states that knowledge is not power but the proper application of knowledge at the correct time is power.

I was listening to my Discover Series by LifePath Unlimited and no matter how matter how many times I listen to my CD set I always pick up something new. I was listening to The Path to Riches and when I first purchased the set I thought to myself I can’t wait to get that “Riches CD”. It will finally tell me how to become immensely wealthy; I was in for a surprise because as it turned out The Path to Riches was gratitude.
I was like gratitude but as I listened to the CD I totally understood where the path to riches laid. Patrick Combs, host Luminary, discussed “that the only time you are unhappy, is when you focus on what you don’t have.” That is a deep statement because it is so true. How do you feel when you are thinking about the money in your bank account? Did I see a smile across your face or a sad look? A perfect example of this is King Midas, most of us have heard about “The Midas Touch”.
King Midas was a great king and had many things to be grateful for such friend, family and especially his daughter. King Midas longed to be the richest man in the World and he was granted a wish that everything he touched would turn to gold. The only problem was that it came at a grave price because everything he took for granted turned to gold. He was no longer able to appreciate the flowers, his friends, food or his daughter. The Midas touch changed everything he should have been truly grateful for into gold.
When I heard this story as a child I thought that the story was about greed and being covetous. As an adult I see so much more than that, gratitude is indeed the path to riches. The one thing that I am grateful for is my time freedom. I remember when I worked 12 to 14 hours workday and then get up in the morning to do it all over again. What are you truly grateful for?
